Show LAP0II1T ! Mrs. Mabel Jenkins Win Two Games The' Explorer basketball team played Vernal Third ward with the score 35 to 21 in favor of Lapoint. They also played Tridell, with the score being 49-19 in favor of Lapoint. Alice Justice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weston Justice has been ill the past week at her home. Mr. and Mis. John Watkins of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Hardy -of Whiterocks, Mr. and Mrs. Arbun Rich of Roosevelt and Mr, and Mrs. Weston Justice were last Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hardy and family Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Jeremiah Harrison and family fam-ily last Thursday and Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hansen Han-sen of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Hansen of California. FIVE ON HONOR ROLL Lapoint had 5 students' listed on Union High's recent honor roll. They were: Clayton Huber, who had a 3 average for straight "A." He also headed the honor roll during dur-ing the first term with 2.85. Je-Neal Je-Neal Harrison, 10th grade, 2.78; Irene Taylor, 9th grade, 2.68; Nila Woolley, 9th grade', 2.67;, and Raymond Ray-mond Perry, 9th grade, 2.52 were the others. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Horrocks and sons, Lewis and Keith, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr. were dinner guests' of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Stubbs and family of Vernal, recently. Mr and Mrs. Joe Norton and children, of Roosevelt, visited Mr. Norton's mother, Mrs. Sarah Norton, Nor-ton, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ercel Sprouse and son, Buddy, of Roosevelt, and Glade Walker of Vernal, visited Mrs. Mae Sprouse last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Perry and children of Dragerton, spent last weekend with Mrs. Perry's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bige- low- t Elvin Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen, spent a few days furlough with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen Ras-mussen and family. Mr, and Mrs. Lyle Taylor and children visited Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wilkerson of Duchesne, last Sat' urday. Earlene Warburton returned to Logan after spending the Christmas Christ-mas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Warburton and family. Darris Rasmussen, Alice Jenkins Jen-kins and Larry Huber returned to Provo to registeT for the winter quarter at the BYU.
