Show 1 B. A. Jacoby flew School Board President For '58 Bernard A. Jacoby has been named president of the' Duchesne County Board of Education. He succeeds Theron Leavitt of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, who has served as board president the past year. Mr. Jacoby Ja-coby served as vice-president of the .school board during 1955. This is the second term as president pres-ident of the school board for the Duchesne druggist, who is serving his 10th consecutive year on the five-member board. His term of office as school board representative represen-tative member from District 4 ends this year. He represents the voting districts of Duchesne' No. 1, Strawberry, Fruitland, Utahn, Tabiona, and Hanna. Mr. Jacoby will have been a resident of Duchesne City 20 years on April 15. After graduating graduat-ing from the University of Southern South-ern Idaho at Pocatello (now Idaho State College), he lived in Provo three years before moving to Duchesne. Du-chesne. Mrs. Jacoby is a graduate of the same' college, and is a registered reg-istered pharmacist, also. Recently, Mr. Jacoby was named third vice-president of the, Utah State School Board Association Associa-tion and is in line for the presidency presi-dency of this board should he continue con-tinue to serve as a local school board membeT. After receiving the state school board post, Mr. Jacoby resigned as chairman of the Civil Defense program in Duchesne County, a position he has held for two years. |
