Fowler of Altonah and Mike Christense'n of Boneta, purchased pur-chased the Altamont Theatre from Leland Stevenson last Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beebe and son, Mike, of Salem, were guests at the home of Austin's brother, Gilbert Beebe, New Year's eve and day. Mr, and Mrs. Clinton Bowden took their son, Willard, to catch the bus for Salt Lake City, Jan. 2nd. He returned to Camp Parks, Oakland, Calif. Willard joined the Air Force and' passed his physical last week. Mr. and Mrs. Dru Allred went to Duchesne last week to get Mr. and Mrs. Albert (Tex) Rochel, who returned from Salt Lake City where he was receiving medical care. Albert Clark attended Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting in Neola, Jan. 1st and blessed his small granddaughter, granddaugh-ter, daughter of Dale and Eldora Peterson, and gave her the name of Lorie Fawn. Mrs1, Linford Maxfield accompanied accom-panied Mr. and' Mrs. Melvin Bird and son to Salt Lake City, Jan. 2nd, after they spent the New Year's holidays here. Mrs. Max-field Max-field went out to visit her new granddaughter and its mother, father and brother, Mr. and Mrs. Delos Bird. Mrs. Dallas Ames went to Salt Lake City, Wednesday, to take her grandson, Mark Wirthlin, home after he spent two weeks' with his grandparents here. Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Clark and daughter, Delores, and' George Mecham accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dee Clark of Meeker, Colo., to Salt Lake City to spend the New Year's holidays with relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weeks were guests of their son, James, and family in Garfield over the New Year's' weekend. A New Year's dance was held in the American Legion hall Dec. 31st. Mrs. Albert Clark and girls, Judy and "Joene, and son, Ted, returned home Jan, 2 after spending spend-ing Christmas and New Year's holidays in Heber with Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Allen attended at-tended the funeral of Mrs. Allen's' Al-len's' mother, Mrs. Tess Workman, in Ft. Duchesne', Jan. 3rd. Mr. and Mrs, Dru Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rochell also attended the funeral. Walter Daniels, of the Air Force, has been visiting his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman LaRose during the' holidays. holi-days. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burson announce the arrival of a baby boy, born at the Roosevelt Hospital Hos-pital Friday, Jan. 6th at 12:05 a.m. Cpl. Robert L. Clark visited his uncle and aunt, Mr, and Mrs. Gilbert Gil-bert Beebe Tuesday, Jan. 3. Mr. and Mrs. Norman LaRose and family returned home Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Jan. 4 from a 10-day visit vis-it in Brigham City with their son, Roy, who was very ill. The doctor was called advising them Roy 'had a strep throat and bronchitis. He is reportedly improving. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden and son, June, were Friday guests at the' homes of Mr. and Mrs, Clinton Clin-ton and Louie Bowden. Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Shiner, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend week-end of Jan. 7th with Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Shiner. Mrs. LaVere Wall and Mrs. Charley Timothy, of Bonanza, brought Mrs. Minnie Maxfield home Saturday. Mrs. Maxield has been visiting in Bonanza the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen of Ar-tesia, Ar-tesia, Colo., called at the Gilbert Beebe home Sunday. They report re-port their 3-I.b. 14 oz, infant son, born Dec 10, was still in the Vernal Ver-nal Hospital, but is gaining weight all the time. It now weighs 5 lbs. 1 oz. When he weighs Sy2 lbs. they will be able to bring him home. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Rust, of Talmage, were visitors at Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting in Altonah, Sunday. Lee and Lynn Call of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, twin brothers of Mrs. Dewey Jessen and Mrs. Reay Jessen, spent the weekend here with their sisteTS and families. Mr. and Mrs. Earl' Dunsmore, accompanied by Mrs. Jesse Palm, made a trip to Salt Lake City during dur-ing the week, where Mrs. Duns-more' Duns-more' received medical care. |
