Show Kiwanis, Legion Join To Hear FBI Special Agent Kiwanis and the American Legion of Roosevelt had a joint meeting last night and heard a representative of the FBI, Arthur Ar-thur Cornelius, Jr., special agent ag-ent in charge of the Salt Lake office who addressed the group on various phases of FBI work. Mr. Cornelius divided his address into an enlightening discussion dis-cussion of the various phases of FBI activities, then opened the meeting up for questions and answers. Kiwanis met first at the Frontier Fron-tier Grill cafe for their business meeting and dinner, then adjourned ad-journed to the Legion Barncks to join members of Post 64 m the program. During the Kiwanis Ki-wanis hour Stanley Schmiett was officially inducted into the club as a new member by Dale Ashby, chairman of the Education Educa-tion and Membership committee commit-tee The club also accepted the publicity and advertising assignment assign-ment for the UBIC, a job they have had the past two years. Next week Kiwanis will observe ob-serve National Boy Scout Week with the Child Welfare committee commit-tee in charge of arrangements. Dr. Wesley Peterson, chairman, and his committee announced the affair will be a father and sons affair, and those Kiwan-ians Kiwan-ians who do not have a son who is a Scout or near the Scout age, are expected to bring a Scout as a guest. A special program on Scouting is being arranged. |
