Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Senior Aaronic Group Has Party The Senior Aaronic Priesthood Priest-hood committee sponsored a very enjoyable party Wednesday. Wednes-day. The program consisted of: reading, Betty Evans; song. Norma Nor-ma Hansen, accompanied by Kent Jensen; jokes, Cecelia Gilbert; Gil-bert; ' song, Grace Larsen, accompanied ac-companied by Charles Jensen; song, Dale and Gale Larsen, accompanied ac-companied by their ukeleles; harmonica solo', by Lynn Ross, accompanied by Charles Jensen; quartet, Garn Gilbert, Marvin G. Shields, Charlie Bird and Scott Lusty. Dancing was enjoyed en-joyed to the music of the Larsen Lar-sen brothers. A very delicious plate lunch was served. , Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Freston, of Roosevelt, spent Wednesday visiting Mrs. Freston's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Larsen, and attended the party. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Jo-hanson, Jo-hanson, of Upalco, went to Salt, Lake Friday to do Temple work. Lynn Ross spent Friday in Salt Lake on business. Max Mullins arrived Wednesday Wednes-day night to spend a twenty-day furlough with his wife and son, Kenneth, also his mother, Mrs. Lula Mullins, at Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird spent Monday viisting Mrs. I Bird's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Solmonson, in Roosevelt. A large crowd from Arcadia attended quarterly conference at Duchesne Sunday and at the special meeting in Bridgeland, Sunday night. Speakers from here were Donna Larsen and Rulon Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shields received word Sunday of the death of Mr. Shields' brother, William G. Shields. Mrs. Milt Larsen was called to' Roosevelt to help care for the j small son, David, of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mower, who is being be-ing treated at the Roosevelt Hospital. Mrs. Aoretta Holgate is visiting vis-iting at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate, while Mrs. Milt Larsen is in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Thompson Thomp-son took their son, Gerry, to Salt Lake City, Saturday, for medical treatment. Mrs. Scott (Bessie) Lusty underwent un-derwent an operation Monday at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mr. Lusty returned Wednesday, reporting his wife is getting along fine. We all wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate spent a few days in Logan during dur-ing the week. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate went to Salt Lake, Saturday, where he received a check-up. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen and Mrs. Gladys Capson went to Salt Lake City Thursday, returning re-turning Sunday. Mr. Jensen received re-ceived a medical check-up. Sue Labrum, of Roosevelt, spent Monday night at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross. |
