Show LA POINT Mrs. Mable Jenkins Work Day At Relief Society Work day was held at Relief Society on Tuesday, Jan. 19. at the ward chapel, with a good crowd in attendance. The lesson was given by Ethel Taylor, and lunch was furnished by Mae Sprouse, Pearl Woolley, Ethel Taylor and Elsie Neilson. A quilt was quilted for Ethel Taylor. Tay-lor. Made A Quilt Mrs. Pearl Woolley gave a quilting bee at her home, where a quilt was quilted for Mrs. June Woolley. A lovely dinner was served to the following ladies: lad-ies: Mae Sprouse, Mrs. Barbara Nyberg, Mrs. Rhoda Ann Lee, Mrs. Elsie Nelson, Mrs. Annie Warburton, Mrs. Ora Swain and Mrs. Mable Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Huber gave a house party, Saturday evening, Jan.. 23 The evening was spent playing Rook, and refreshments were served to 28 guests. Mrs. Minnie Reynolds, from Vernal was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Adrains Kump and family on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Abeglen and children, of Pleasant Valley, Val-ley, and Mrs. Annie Warburton went to Salt Lake City on business. busi-ness. Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Hullinger and children, of Vernal, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartle and familv last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lambert went to Salt Lake City, Tuesday, Tues-day, where Mrs. Lambert will have an operation on her leg. Mr. and Mrs. John Wardle and son, Forrest, of Sandy, spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Wardle's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Foster. Mrs. Annie Davis, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, were guests of her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David Jenkins and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Yack and sons, of Neola. visited Mrs. Yack's mother, Mrs. Caroline Thompson, recently. Mrs. Sarah Norton received word that Mrs. Grace Lambert is doing nicely after her operation opera-tion at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City and will return home in a week. Milt Woolley made, a trip to' Salt Lake City and' returned home, Wednesday. Dr. Seager, Lucille Hatch, Helen Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Boren were present Monday Mon-day night at the ward show to present a 30-minute film on cancer. After the film, questions ques-tions were asked and answered about cancers. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening were Rex Curry, of Roosevelt; and Clyde Wahlquist, of Vernal. |
