Show Coasting Party? Pupils of Mr. Merkley's fifth and sixth grades gathered at the Dye hill last Friday after school to enjoy the nearest thing to a coasting party that has been possible this winter. The fact snow was amply interspersed with mud, added much to the hilariousness of the occasion. Upon vreturning to the school house, a delicious luncheon was served to the group by Mollie Spencer and Bernetta Duncan. Mrs. Ada Hutcheon, of Salt Lake City, visited relatives here last weekend. ELDERS MEET The Elders' Quorum sponsored spon-sored a very enjoyable evening last Friday, when members met at the ward chapel. Games, dancing dan-cing and a pot-luck supper were participated in by the group. Mr. and Mrs. Don Horrocks visited in Price last Friday. REPAIR CHURCH FLOOR Ward activities were suspended suspend-ed during the past week, while the floor of the chapel was being be-ing sanded and refinished. MIA was postponed until next week while members attended the speech festival in Roosevelt. Primary and the ward show are being held this Friday instead of Thursday. SPEAK IN CHURCH Speakers in Sunday evening service included Claude Crozier, Croz-ier, Norman Dye, Ardell Olsen, all members of the Deacons' Quorum; Ray Summers, of the Indian recreation department; Paul Murphy, of the High Council. Coun-cil. A piano duet was rendered by Rosanne Olsen and Linda Davis; a vocal solo, by Lois Leavitt, accompanied by Lillian Wilkerson.. |
