Show Name Utah 4-H Youth for Awards HIGH RATING In the 1954 National 4-H Bread Demonstration program pro-gram was reported by Kaye Winters, 17, of Devil's Slide. She received a trip to the National Na-tional 4-H Club Congress In Chl-caeo. Chl-caeo. and a SK0 TT. S. Savines l.,L. iki Kaye Winters Bond from Standard Brands, Inc., as her award. Kaye's winning win-ning demonstration demon-stration was "Beaten Batter Bread." In it, she explained the newest method In bread - making and recom- mended It because It Is the quickest quick-est and easiest way to bake with yeast. It requires no kneading or shaping, and the finished product is delightfully different Kaye stressed the Importance of having all liquids the right temperature, tem-perature, of taking each ingredient in order, and of the beating and rising of yeast breads. Demonstration work has given Kaye much-needed confidence In herself. She has demonstrated before be-fore her club, community and county groups, and at the state fair. Her local 4-H Club leaders are Mabel Winters and Dorothy Richins. All these programs are conducted under the direction of the Cooperative Co-operative Extension Service. |
