Show Taxpayers May Get Assistance From IRS Taxpayers with tax questions ques-tions can call a new 24-hour, 7-days-a-week telephone recorded re-corded tax information service, ser-vice, called Tele-Tax, provided pro-vided by the Internal Revenue Service. : THE RECORDED information informa-tion service is available to taxpayers tax-payers with pushbutton telephones tele-phones and has 141 information informa-tion tapes on tax subjects including in-cluding filing requirements, itemized deductions, tax credits, cre-dits, dependents, and adjustments adjust-ments to income, according to the IRS. : To use Tele-Tax, a taxpayer calls the local Tele-Tax num- :. ber 355-9328. It is also found in : the tax package, Tele-Tax brochure, and in free IRS Publication Pub-lication 910, "Taxpayer's Guide to IRS Information and Assistance." BY PUNCHING in the appropriate tape numbers, the taxpayer hears the tax information infor-mation message he or she wants. Taxpayers without access ac-cess to the tape topics and their corresponding tape numbers, can hear a listing of the tapes by following the recorded in- -r structions. ; Publication 910 is available ; by using the order form in the tax package, or by writing to Taxpayer Service, 465 South 4th East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111, or by calling the IRS forms number, 524-4368 if in Salt lake dialing area or toll-free toll-free 1-800 424-1040. Tele-Tax began operation this month and continues year-round, year-round, if a taxpayer calls from outside the local dialing area of any Tele-Tax number there will be a long-distance charge.
