Named To Ricks Hall Of Fame ( c i V t tv, X ' , i ELDON WATSON REXBURG, IDA. -- Eldon Watson of Bountiful is one of six former Ricks College athletes to be inducted into the - school's Athletic Hall of Fame at the recent athletic awards banquet. THE SIX honorees join the seven selected last year to form the core of those to be singled out for this honor. In the future, only two or three will be chosen annually, according to R. Brent King-horn, King-horn, community services vice president at Ricks. The other five inductees were from various parts of Idaho Ida-ho and Utah. MR. WATSON participated in football, basketball and track at Ricks from 1932 until 1934 and was named all-Conference all-Conference on a team that won the Intermountain Junior championships both years in football and basketball. He also held the conference record re-cord in the mile for several years, winning the conference title in both the mile and half mile runs.
