Show Moonlighter Events The Moonlighters Square Dancers have had a lot of activities acti-vities during the past two months. The Man In Green Dance was a big success, the biggest and best ever held, and a thank you goes to all who attended and participated in any way. ON APRIL 8, there was the graduation of an outstanding group of dancers, there were six squares in this group. These new dancers have been eager to learn square dancing and were ready for graduation. The evening of April 15 was amateur calling night, with many potential callers for square dancing taking part, there were ten of them and all congratulated after having done so well. THE OGDEN area Square Dance Association held the Beginners Jamboree at Weber State College on April 13, the Moonlighters turned out in full force, in green outfits for this event. Another special night was held April 29, with a celebration celebra-tion of birthdays, including caller Clarence Eskridge, who had just retired from his job with the railroad. THERE WAS election of officers for 1983-84. President will be Carl and Marjean Cook of Bountiful. Mike and Sherie Murphy of Bountiful will be vice president; Ray and Jennae Fellows of West Bountiful will be secretary treasurer. Directors are Ken and Pearl Hilton, Farmington and historian histo-rian is Erma Eskridge. The Moonlighters attended a special dance on May 7 as they journeyed to Green River, Riv-er, Wyo. to dance with the Squarenaders there. This was very special as Clarence Eskridge w as calling that evening. even-ing. This is his 25th year as a caller for them on the special day. THE DANCERS are now looking forward to the Spring Festival which will be held May 13 and 14 in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, a very special occasion for all square dancers, kj |
