Show Rites Held For Violet W. Call ' ' ' ' 1 VIOLET WOOD CALL Mis. Violet Wood Call, 84, of 682 S. 2200 W., Layton, died Sunday, May 1, 1983 in Bountiful. Boun-tiful. SHE WAS born April 4, 1899 in Bountiful, a daughter of Daniel Henry and Elizabeth Evans Wood. She married Henry D. Call on Oct. 8, 1919 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Sept. 21, 1978. SHE WAS educated in the Davis County schools and attended the University of Utah. She had resided in Layton since her marriage. SHE WAS a member of the Layton 2nd LDS Ward. She served on the North Davis Stake Primary Board for 32 years, part of which time she served in the presidency. She had served on the stake boards of the Relief Society, the MIA and the Sunday School. She had worked in genealogy. She was Relief Society cultural refinement re-finement teacher for 20 years. She was the organist for many organizations. She had served as PTA president pres-ident of the Layton Elemen tary School. She was a member mem-ber of the Hollyhock Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She had been president presi-dent of the camp. At the time ofherdeath.she was a teacher in the DUP. She was the founder of the Layton Ladies Literary Club. She was a member mem-ber of the Davis County Senior Citizens Board. SURVIVING are four sons and one daughter, Richard W. Call, Los Molinas, Calif. ; Mrs. David B. (Elizabeth) Barlow, Salt Lake City; Stephen W. Call, Bountiful; Dr. Jay W. Call, Logan; Henry Dee Call, Bountiful; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Delores W. Bearnson, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel W. Ford and Mary W. Call. FUNERAL services under the direction of Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary were held Wednesday, May 4, in the Layton 2nd LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Noel Flint officiating. offi-ciating. Family prayer was by Richard W. Call, prelude and postlude music, Marianne Call, organ; Carmen Dibble and Patricia Sargent, violins; invocation, Stephen W. Call; remarks, Bishop Noel Flint; speaker, Ralph Dibble; tribute to grandmother, "A Family is Forever", family of H. Dee Call; speakers, Susan Call, Jeffrey Jef-frey Call, Anne C. House, Thomas C. Barlow; musical selection, grandchildren; benediction, be-nediction, Dr. Jay W. Call. DEDICATION of the grave was by H. Dee Call with interment inter-ment in the Bountiful City Cemetery. Musical selection at graveside by H. Dee Call Jr. Pallbearers were grandsons, R. Dayton Call, David B. Barlow Bar-low Jr., S. Reed Call, Alan F. Call, J. Laurence Call and Nathan H. Call.
