And while that's down by $6,000 from the previous year, it hard- yreflectslossof6l7employes by 1 1 major firms. The scores of residents and their firms or groups who helped make the campaign a success were honored Mon- ' day night in a program at Vie w- , mont High School that was Jj;, capped off by showing of the Clint Eastwood thriller "Fire - J' fox" aiming to draw families j for at least part of the recogni- lion program. Frank Varley, community and agency relations chairman; Dolores Hansen, information and referral chairperson; Brent Johnson, planning committee com-mittee chairman and Col. John Wolfe, liaison representative. IN ADDITION, board members mem-bers provided support over the past year and include: Margaret Mar-garet Adams: Lynn Carriger. Philomena Clawson. Susie Davis and Mike Hannan. Others are Loren D. Martin. Frank Newman. Gary Porter. Shirl Randall. Stanley M. Smedley and Grant M. Steed. The other four board members are Ron Stewart. Harvey Tanner, Tan-ner, Tom Tolman and Dar Voge. New board members are: Cheryl Ann Boden. Kenneth Cuthbert, Jimmie L. Stewart. Robert D. Tolle and Charles Parker. Almon J. Flake was county campaign chairman. CABINET members were: Brent Moon. Cecil Campbell. Robert D. Tolle. Kenneth Cuthbert. Horace Smith and Charles Peppier. Others on the cabinet included Vernile Hess. Jeff Slringham. Ernest Little. Jay R. Yates and Gary Lawson. Special division members included Mr. Steed. Davis Schools campaign coordinator; coordina-tor; Melvin Miles, Davis County employees campaign and Roy Welty. LDS Seminaries Semi-naries campaign coordinator. SOME 26 firms provided part-time loaned leaders to work with major companies during the campaign. Major contributors awards went to several firms where contributions were received of more than Si 0.000 and at least 40 percent of employees participated parti-cipated with an average gift of at least S20. THOSE INCLUDED: Eaton-Kenway. Chevron USA. Max Factor. Associated Piping. Utility Trailer. Davis School District. Hercules. Inc. and Fram Corp. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to a long list of firms where employee contributions contri-butions increased over the last year by at least 25 percent while many gold awards were given for those companies where the average employee contribution equalled at least s:o. |
