Show RAWLEE PERKINS Porliins To Play For USU Rawlee Perkins, Bountiful High School senior, was recently awarded an over-all athletic scholarship to Utah State University. RAWLEE, who has been a major addition the last three years to Bountiful High School's athletic program, signed to play basketball with USU this fall. As a sophomore, the 5'10" guard played several varsity games during basketball and baseball season. But quick number 10 exploded as a junior, starting every varsity football game of the season. HE THEN went on to accomplish ac-complish All-Region and Tribune All-State honors in basketball, and completed another successful baseball season. This year he was selected for the Tribune All-State basketball team again with an 18 point scoring average, was recently named to the All-Region All-Region baseball team, and was a major factor in BHS's march to football and basketball basket-ball state tournaments. HEAD football coach Paul Waite, spoke in reference to Rawlee's contribution to the football team and classified him as "the best receiver ever to play at Bountiful High." And Rawlee certainly displayed his abilities this season making 40 receptions with an average of 154 yards a catch, and six touchdowns. RAWLEE spoke very highly of all the coaches who have helped him throughout high school and especially of Coach Joe Johnson. Rawlee described Coach Johnson as an important influence in helping him develop his skills in basketball. |
