Show Attending Rocky Mountain Conference Traveling to Craig, Colo, to-spend to-spend May 8, 9, and 10 at the first annual meeting of the Rocky Mountain Conference, ! United Church of Christ, were ; the following representatives I of Bountiful Community ! Church: REVEREND and Mrs. Don Proctor, Mr. and Mrs. Jed Willhite, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Reher, and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Birdsong. This meeting represents the 12th Annual Meeting of the Intermountain Conference, U.C.C. and the 93rd Annual Meeting of the Utah Congregational Conference. THE REVEREND George Otto, conference minister set the pace with a major address on "New Frontiers - Firm Foundations." Guest leader, Dr. Rosemary Ruether, associate as-sociate professor of Historical Theology at Howard University, Univer-sity, Washington, D.C. presented workshops dealing with "Christian Ministry and Community in a Time of Crisis" and "Sexism, Ecology and the Family." Reverend J. Alan McLean, secretary for evangelism in the Board for Homeland Ministries, U.C.C. headed two workshops on "Frontiers for Evangelism." THE HOST church, First Congregational Church of Craig, is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year. |
