Show By SONJA EDDINGS The year end is bringing about the selection of many new officers and other studentbody representatives for next year at Bountiful High. THIS WEEK cheerleading try-outs were held and the results were: cheerleaders: Cindee Canfield, LeeAnn Youngdell, Brenda Eggett and Sally Winn; yell leaders: Brad Hill, Jeff Dickson, Paul Jeppesen and Gary Taylor. The band returned Monday from a four day trip to California. They traveled by bus to Southern California for the National City Marching Band Competition. OF OVER 60 bands judged in the competition. Bountiful High School's marching band placed among the top ten. The band was then invited to perform per-form at Disneyland and in various other concerts along the way. Also traveling with the band were the Mandonelles, Bountiful High School's drill team. The girls performed equally 'well on the trip placing plac-ing third in their respective competition. THE "WORLD of Records" event got underway yesterday at Bountiful High. Using the Guiness World Records Book as a guide, students attempted attempt-ed to break world records ranging from a brick carrying carry-ing contest to a kissing marathon. This afternoon, a carnival will also be held on the BHS football field in conjunction with the "World of Records" which will be open to the public beginning at 1 p.m. ALL ORGANIZATIONS of the school will be taking part in the activity by setting up boothes, offering various of foods aM Potpourri of sl:. tainment "saa.. nival7l.fcl.
