Show ilGSd filler Honored At Y Fop ROTC I'Jork At Presidents Review held at B.Y.U., ROTC Cadet Reed A. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin J. Miller 251 W. 800 S. Bountiful received the Association As-sociation of The United States ArmyTWTC Medal. THIS AWARD is presented to the MS 3 or MS 4 Cadet who has contributed most to promote the ROTC Military Science Program at B. Y.U. To be considered for the award a cadet must be in the top 10 percent of his ROTC class and the top 25 percent of his B. Y.U. class. Among his achievements Reed was a 2nd year member of the Nauvoo Rifles drill team. The drill team won Sweepstakes honors at two of the four meets that were held. HE WAS 1st trumpet in the ROTC Band. Participated in recruiting and served on the committee for the Military Ball. He was the team leader of the color guard and had the honor of carrying the American flag at the B.Y.U. 100 Year Commencement exercises. He will serve as Executive officer for the color guard next year. He served as Company Commander at the Spring ROTC Camp at Camp Williams. He will participate in the Summer Camp at Fort Lewis Washington. He was one of fifteen cadets chosen to attend at-tend a special leadership training for two weeks following follow-ing summer camp. REED IS a graduate of Bountiful High School and served a mission to the Italy North. He is the recipient of a two year ROTC scholarship. |
