Show Ruben Wagstaff To Leave For Naval Academy Next Friday Ruben Wagstaff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wagstaff, I3 leaving next Friday, June 21, for Annapolis, Maryland, Mary-land, where he will enter the United States Naval Academy. Mr. Wag-stalT Wag-stalT has been in the Navy for the past 23 months, and has made a splendid record during that time. There are only 100 men from the Navy personnel allowed to enter the Academy each year. A six months preparatory class is held either at San Diego, California, or Hampton Roads, Virginia, after which an entrance en-trance examination is given. Mr. Wagstaff passed his examinations high enough to be one of the fortunate fortu-nate 100 seamen. This is a very distinct honor for Mr. Wagstaff, as the University itsolf ranks second in the United States. Hero, ho will receive a regular four year college course, besides special training, and upon graduation will become a commissioned ensign in the Navy. |
