Show Impressive Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Jane Gardner Forbes Impressive funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday, June 9, in the Alpine Stake tabernacle for Mrs. Jane Gardner Forbes, wife of the late Uoseph B. Forbes, who died June 6, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Don Clyde, at Heber City, Vtah. The services were largely attended. This together with the many beautiful beauti-ful floral tributes, which decked the casket and rostrum, were silent tributes tri-butes as to the esteem and love in which the deceased was held. Bishop Lot Robinson of the Fourth: ward was in charge of the services, which opened with the Fourth ward quartet singing. Counselor W. S. Chipman of the Second ward bishopric bishop-ric gave the invocation, followed by a vocal duet "There Is Light Beyond The Shadow" by Mrs. Helen Walker and Morle D. Steele. A telegram of condolence was read from President James H. Steele of Idaho Falls, Idaho. The speakers were President Earl S. Greenwood, Patriarch Warren B. Smith, President S. L. Chipman, Leo T. Shelley and Bishop Robinson. Many high tributes to the life of Mrs. Forbes, her late husband and the Forbes families were paid by President Presi-dent Chipman. Mr. Shelley a neighbor and life long friend, spoke very feelingly of the beautiful traitg of character of the deceased. All tho speakers conveyed many words of consolement to the bereaved family. Interspersing the . speakers, M'iss Ann Clayson and Leland Priday play ed a violin duet "A Perfect Day" and Mrs. Edith Grant Youhg sang a vocal , selection "In The Land Of Fadeless Day." The concluding musical number was sung by a mixed quartet from the Fourth' ward, after which Counselor Coun-selor John Robinson of the Second ward pronounced the benediction. Interment was made in the city cemetery, where Bishop James T. Gardner, a brother of the deceased, dedicated the grave. n . |
