Union Meeting To Be Held On Second Monday Of Each Month Due to the splendid success which the first Monday night union meeting of the Mutual Improvement Association Associa-tion met with Monday night, it was decided to hereafter hold stake union meeting on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 p. m. in the Alpine Al-pine Stake Tabernacle. Stake officials feel that inasmuch as Mutual work deals mostly with recreational activities, Monday is the most feasible night. ' It is now their intentions to demonstrate many of the activities suggested for Mutual work. A feature of the general assembly program was the production of the one-act play "Soul Mates" by members mem-bers of the stake board. This is one of the six suggested plays for the M. I. A. contest work this year. President C E. Young spoke during dur-ing the assembly and gave a general discussion of the new time change in M. I. A. meetings. Leland Priday and Miss Ann Clay-son Clay-son furnished a violin duet. Special work was taken up in all departments. Of special interest was the demonstration and talk given by Mrs. Knudsen of the B. Y- U-, on her world travels, in the Junior and Gleaner Departments. Mrs. Knudsen had on dis,play a large variety of her collections from various parts of the continent. Tn the Bov Scout department. Scout Executive A. A. Anderson was present pres-ent and gave an interesting talk on Scout work. Special visitors at the union meeting meet-ing were Miss Leona Durrant, President Presi-dent of the Utah Stake Y. L. M. I. A., and her two counselors. They were present to observe the success of the Monday night union meeting and consider its practibility in the Utah Stake. I |
