Show Resort Details April Events Series Finals will be held on April 15, 1980. With most of the class champions not yet determined,' it is sure that Wolfe's Sporting Goods Pro Team will come out as the victors in the Pro Class. The A. B, C and Pro Vet classes are so close that the winners will only be determined after the final race. Following the serious race day will be Park City's not so serious annual Clown Day on April 16. The craziness begins early in the morning and continues throughout the day; with clowns of every size and shape skiing the mountain. Needless to say, the clowning around will continue into the night and most probably into the early hours ot the next morning. 'i The close down the ski season. Park City Ski Corp. will host their employees to an end of the season get together and the Employee Race Finals. Ski School teams have been the ones to beat this season, but all the rest of the employees are after them and the results of the final race could raise some eyebrows in the Ski School locker room. Wifh Park City's scheduled closing day on Sunday, May 4, the final weekend w'ill be left to last turns, sun tans, shorts and long memories to last through the summer until the white stuff covers the moun-- moun-- tains again. ,r . 1 .'.-.,'... With one month of Park City skiing left and the -snow storms continuing to arrive, the last month will be a great one. The weather conditions in Park City have been alternating alternat-ing between beautiful sunny days to light powder snow days. The storms have left 94 inches of snow at the Summit and 106 inches in Park City's famous Jupiter Bowl. To start off the month of April, the top amateur ski competitors in the United States and Canada will arrive in Park City for the Miller Lite U.S. Ski Team Spring Series. The top amateurs of the 1979-80 ski season will be determined in the Spring Series Alpine Races which will be held at Snow Basin Ski area from March 31 through April 3 and at Park City Ski area on April 5 and 6. With Easter Sunday that same weekend. Park City Ski area is getting ready for its annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt and Children's Easter Egg Hunt. The Adult Easter Egg Hunt will begin as soon as the lifts open at 9:00am and run throughout the day. Eggs will be hidden all over the mountain and when turned in to the Marketing Dept. will yield prizes such as dinners for two. ski equipment, lift tickets and many others. The children's hunt will take place in the afternoon at the base of the mountain near the Kinder-haus Kinder-haus nursery. Children will be delighted to find stuffed animals and chocolate goodies. good-ies. And of course, the of Easter Bunny will get out his ski gear to take a few runs on Park City's slopes to pass out Easter goodies to the young and old. With the ski season in the whole country winding down. Park City Ski area and Rossignol Ski Co. have invited Western ski area instructors to participate in. the Great instructors Race on April 11, 1980. The race day will consist of the Slalom Race in the morning and a Giant Slalom Race in the afternoon.
