" ) : ' '.. V ' ' i -The elevator.- he explained, could travel 1200 feet per minute. ' ' Commission member Roy Reynolds said one of his first concerns was the use of. the elevator by an unfamiliar public, and Monty Gibson immediately replied he would hire an attendant' to man the device. Commissioners Greg Lawson and Curt Nelson had concerns about the impact on the existing right-of-way and the steepness of the parking ramp, respectively. The fate of the Cornice Hotel may riot rest soley in the p hands of the planning commission commis-sion because a legal question exists between Mr. Gibson and Resort President Ray Johnson regarding the deed restriction of the property. Mr. Johnson said in a letter sent to the commission two weeks ago that he was opposed to the' Cornice Hotel project because the existing land is needed for parking by Marsac Mill Manor and Silver Mill House residents. Planning Director Bill , Ligety told the commission it was the opinion of City , Attorney Mike McCoy that the deed restriction question isv a civil rnatef, , -adding the com ml ssionhou if d xoncern itself only with reviewing Cornice Hotel "on its own merits". |
