Show FIRST OF JAPANESE EXHIBIT HAS ARRIVED Seattle. Wash.. April 17. The Japanese Jap-anese steamer Tosa Maru, from the Orient, brought to Seattle the first of tho Japanese exhlblt .to tho Alaska-Yukon-Pacific exposition. Ten skilled cabinet makers, selected by competition competi-tion from among the nation's mechanics, mechan-ics, were landed here to carry out plans of Japanese architecture with ehlbition designs brought here several sev-eral weeks ago by Commissioner T. Takesawa, The Japanese workmen were permitted per-mitted by Immigration officers to enter en-ter the country with the presentation of concessions setting aside conditions of the recent treaties regulating the admission of Japanese laborers. They will be returned to Japan as soon at. their work at the exposition is concluded. con-cluded.
