Christians and Jews are unanimous in energetic protests." i The foreign office has received a telegram from Major Daughty Wylle, the British vice-consul at Merslna, who went to Adana, at the outbreak of j 1he trouble. The text of the message has not been given out but in sub-F.fnce sub-F.fnce the ice-consul says that although al-though the fighting has not come to an end, the situation la improving. He mentions incidentally that his arm was broken while he was attempting attempt-ing to check the disorders.
