Show BAMBERGER BUYS PROPERTY OF MANY Simon Bamberger has disposed of the controversy in this city as to whether his railroad grade In the neighborhood of Thirty-second and Wall streets was damaging the adjoin-, Ing property by buying all the property prop-erty claimed to be damaged. This was done by arbitration, since the recent protest of the property owners was made before the city council, and the deeds of transfer were placed on record rec-ord yesterday. In the arbitration Carl C. Rasmussen represented the Salt Lake & Ogden Railway company and S. E. Stephens. John C. Ellis and B. II. Goddard represcntej various property prop-erty owners. 3even lots with a house and barn were bought from Charles Plncock for $2,775; two lots with a house and barn were bought from G. H. Van I-eeuwen for $2,000; two lots with a house and barn were bought from R. C. Carr for $1,500. The vacant lots brought from $125 to $150, compared with $25 to $10 for which they were offered three years ago.- |
