Show WOODMEN TO PARADE ON MAY 3 LAW PARTNER OF W. J. BRYAN WILL BE HERE. He Is Head Consul of Modern Wood? men of America an Will Be Given a Warm Welcome. Local camp No. 999Q, Modern Woodmen Wood-men of America, in planning to have fne of the biggest and loudest times ever had in Ogden, under the auspices aus-pices of the Modern Woodmen. On May 3rd the Head Consul, A. R. Talbot, Tal-bot, and, other head officials of the society will be hero to pay the Utah Woodmen a vislt This will be the first time In tho 2G -;ars of the existence of the order that Utah Woodmen have been' honored honor-ed by the presence of a Head Consul, and they, therefore, Intend to make things interesting for him. Head Consul Talbot Is the former law partner of W. J. Bryan, and Is a very forceful speaker on fraternallsm, and will, at that time, give a talk, which will be worth hearing, He can spend only one day in Ogden, and from hero will go to Salt Lake, where he will spend the succeeding- day, before be-fore returning to his headquarters at Lincoln, Neb. Plans are now perfected to have a delegation comprising the leading men of Ogden and of the society, meet Mr. Talbot at the depot, and escort him to Ogden canyon, where lunch will be served. IIo will then be shown oor the town and vicinity by a committee com-mittee of members. In the evening, at. about 7 o'clock, there will be a big street parade, af-t?r af-t?r which there will bo a class adoption adopt-ion of new candidates. This will be followed by a speech by Mr. Talbot, and at that time the prize banner will be awarded to the camp for the coming year, for having the largest gain in beneficial members for the year 1908. Utah camp has grown exceedingly ex-ceedingly fast the past year, having luvl a net gain of 114 new beneficial members, besides the socials. ' |
