Show I BIG STRIKE IS MAQE IN t KRAMER MINE AT GOLCONDA Wlnnemucca Star: A strike of great Importance has recently been made In one of the long tunnels on Kramer "Till, located only two miles from the depot at Golconda. For some months A P. S. MacQuestln, who last winter acquired the property, has had a force r.f twenty men at work there doing development. With the aid of power drills two long tunnels are being pushed into the hill, about 1,000 feet iart, to cut the great ledges that traverse the claims and have big outcrops out-crops on the surface Where the late t'.rike was made was in the tunnel that penetrates the block of ground that was leased by Lng, Welshon and Eggers and who worked to considerable con-siderable extent near the surface. Tho ore body was disclosed at a depth of over 230 feet, which proves its continuity. The ledge is quite large with three feet of ore thatwis high-grade, with the gold contentsquite free, and can he readily milled with the ordinary process. This is not the first strike ibat ha!j bpen made on he property since Mr. MacQue&tin commenced operations op-erations there. However, it the most important one and proves that the great gold ledge goes to depth. A strike of this magnitude on the very outskirts of the town means great things for Golconda and the Gold Run mining district. While there has been no special effort made to publicly pub-licly advertise that great mineral section, sec-tion, yet it is nevertheless true that ever since Mr. MacQuestln started work there the big mill at Golconda has been pounding on ore from the Kramer Hill phoperly with gratifying results. It has ofler been said that thiB property would make a great Liine and this property is proving true with every blast that is fired in doing development work. While the ores aro mostly of tho milling grade, yet ore thai Is fairly spattered with particles of the jellow metal is taken out every day In the course of extraction and on reserved ground there are places where Ihe ore is dotted with small nuggets of Cold.
