Show Yankee Proves Greatest Seller of Day; 30,000 Shares Changes Hands The trading today on tho Salt Lake Stock fc Mining Exchange was rather active. Tintlc Standard and Sells j were the two most active stocks of the day, the former showing considerable consid-erable strength. It opened at $4.30 and advanced rapidly to $-l.-17V. closing clos-ing strong, with $4.45 bid and $4.50 asked. The latter showed weakness, opening at 23 cents and selling down to 21 & cents, slosing with the stocks , offered at 22 cents. Generally speaking speak-ing the trend of the market was a little upward. j j Alta Con. sold at Shi and Sc; Eu- reka Lily was very active at 16c, j Columbus Retail sold up to fiCfc, Iron j Blossom brought from 31 to 32c, Lehi i Tintic was active at 16c, May Day , changed hands at 1?4 and 2c, Naildriv- er sold at 60c. Eureka Mines brought 14 60c, Plutus was very ;.ctivc from 36 Vs to 40c, Prince Con. brought 56 and '1 75c, Silver Shield sped at 8c, Walker ' Mining changed hands as low as $3.50. i Yankee was the most active stock on the board, 30,000 shares shares chang- ing hands from 3V to 5c.
