Show PIONEER WOMAN OF OH DIES Mrs. Jane Burt Sneddon Answers An-swers Last CalL; Funeral Thursday Mrs. Jane Burt Sneddon, Ogden pioneer, pio-neer, died Monday at 3 p. m. at tho residence of her daughter, Mrs. Charles ' Clark, 2Q14 Madison avenue. Sho was born in Scotland, May 1, 1846. "When a girl of 15 years sho emigrated emigrat-ed to Utnh with her family, and because be-cause of lack of teamsters she drovo the ox team the entire distance across the plains, arriving in Salt Lake in November, No-vember, 1861. Marrying Robert Sneddon July 26, 1868, she moved to Ogden the same year and had lived In the Fourth ward since. She was converted to the L. D. S. faith a,s a child and during her life had been an active worker in the church and relief society. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Jen-nette Jen-nette Crase, Mrs. Mary B. Clark, Mrs. R. B. Douglas, 20 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. George Irvine, Salt Lake, and Mrs. Charles Rich, Taylorville; two brothers, broth-ers, John Burt, Salt Lake, and Adm Burt, Moore, Ida. Funeral services will be held in the Fourth ward chapel, Thursday at .2 p. m. The body may be viewed Wednesday Wednes-day evening and Thursday until -u-neral, at the residence. I nn |
