Barnes four-ring wild animal circus, which comes to Ogden for two exhibitions exhibi-tions on May 4. With Its 1200 wild and semi-tamed performing flnimals, 550 horses and 600 people, all transported on 52 cars in two special trains, the Barnes show Is unequalled in the annals of circusdom, everything being on a massive and gorgeous scale. From the opening pageant, .to tho closing feature, sensational thrillers pass in review; lions ride wild horses like regular cowboys; tigers dance the fox trot; 30 tons of elephants perform in one act; men and women trainers tempt fate with reckless abandon; shaggy beasts defy flaming barrages; there are acting camels, musical elephants, ele-phants, a boxing contest between a Polar Po-lar and a grizzly bear, Capt. Richards himself tacking the winner; there are also 40 chorus girls on horseback, who sing-whileTthe 'horses dance; a whole floe kof clowns, and altogether 110 separate thrillers, which will last until the Barnes show comes to town again. |
