GREEK PEOPLE FAVOR FRENCH Great Demonstration When French Cabinet Officer Arrives Ar-rives in Athens. Paris, Nov 17, 10:20 a. ra. Tho arrival ar-rival of Denys Coohln, tho French cabinet minister, last evening In Athens Ath-ens on a special mission, gave rise to an enthusiastic demonstration of sympathy sym-pathy for Franco that lasted from 11 o'clock at night to an early hour this morning, according to a Havas dispatch dis-patch from Athens. Representatives of Premier Skoul-oudis Skoul-oudis and the mayor of Athens -wore at the station with tho Fronch minister min-ister and member of the legation to greet M. Cochin, tho dispatch adds, wlillo an immense throng waited outside out-side and lined tho streets all along the routo to tho hotel. Throughout his progress to his stopping place, tho French minister was tho object of a great demonstration. Later a column of citizens marched to the hotel and greeted M. Cochin with tho wildcat cheering when ho showed himself on the balcony. "Tho crowd aftorward marched to the Fronch legation singing the Marseillaise Mar-seillaise tho dispatch says, "while nearly all night tho streets wero animated ani-mated by enthusiastic crowds acclaiming acclaim-ing France."
