Nov. 17 None of the bids by private ship yards for construction con-struction of the two super-dreadnoughts, authorized by the last congress con-gress submitted to the navy today fell within the limit of $7,800,000, fixed as the maximum cost for the hull and machinery of each ship. Bids submitted by the New York, Philadelphia and Mare Island navy yards, however, all fell within the limit, most of them being below S7,-000.000. S7,-000.000.
