Show Surprises abound in Recreation League There were some surprises sur-prises in the Recreation League last week as I Bradshaw Firestone picked up its first win by upsetting the unbeaten Antones team. The score was 8-4 with Bobby Parks hitting a home run for Bradshaws. Brad-shaws Brad-shaws picked up another win against Gary's Texaco through a forfeit. Police Department continued con-tinued its momentum with wins over Lunt Motor 13-12 and over Skaggs 9-2. Skaggs defeated Western Auto 7 to 6 with 8 year old Brad Watson making the game-winning hit. Danny Collins was the winning pitcher. MacDonalds came up with wins over Gary's Texaco 10-9 10-9 and over Western Auto 14-7. 14-7. Cedar Builders picked up their 4th win in a row by defeating Lockhart 15-7. Helping to put the score into the "unbeatable category" due to the 6-run rule were pitcher Chris Weaver who pitched 3 up-3 out one inning; in-ning; Kim Weaver who hit a double with one man on; and Brent Felstead whose base hit brought in the final runs.
