Show Environmental Statement effects local area the needs of people with minimum environmental disturbance. Copies of the Land Management Plan are available for review at the Forest Supervisor's Office, Dixie National Forest, 82 North 100 East, Cedar City. The Forest Service has filed the Final Land Management Plan and Environmental Statement for the Markagunt Plateau Planning Unit, National Forest land that lies between Highways 91 and 89, north of Zion National Park and south of Highway 20 (Buckhorn Flat). This National Forest land provides domestic livestock grazing, commercial timber harvest, summer and winter recreation, water for onsite and downstream uses, areas of scenic quality, wildlife habitat, and various other uses. Included within the National Forest boundaries are Cedar Breaks National Monument managed by the National Park Service and several parcels of private land - some being used for ranching, others are being subdivided for second homes.
