LaVar M. Hadley, Cedar City, receives the international school. Scholarship from Dr. James Taylor, chairman of the SUSC department of industrial education. Several Iron County students will attend Southern Utah State College next year assisted by scholarships presented through the School of Business and Technology. "Over 40 scholarships and special awards have been made to students who are majoring in areas of technology and business at SUSC. The scholarships vary in amount between $75 and $600; the special awards are annually presented to outstanding graduating seniors," Harold H. Hiskey, dean of the School of Business and Technology, said. The awards are presented on the basis of each student's academic performance and achievements in his or her selected field of study. Listed alphabetically, the Iron County recipents follow: Tracy R. Adams will receive an Industrial Education Department Scholarship. Adams is an incoming freshman who plans to major in electronics. elec-tronics. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen R. Adams, Parowan. Adams was senior class president and a member of the varsity basketball and tennis teams at Parowan High School. Nancy Bauer, a sophomore business major, will receive a SUSC Business Department Scholarship. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Bauer, Kanarraville. The Cedar High School graduate is majoring in business at SUSC. Stephen R. Brown was awarded the National Observer Ob-server Award for his accomplishment ac-complishment as a SUSC business student. He graduated from SUSC in June with a BA in business administration with a minor in marketing. Brown has received several scholarships scholar-ships while attending SUSC And was nominated twice for the Outstanding Business ft I'-' ' i ' I y - i J Student. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Rodney Borwn, Cedar City. He and his wife Sherie have one son. Lindy Kirk Davis is the 1977-78 recipent of the Miller Auto Parts Scholarship. Davis is a SUSC sophomore with an industrial education composite major. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vic Davis, Cedar City. Davis graduated from Cedar High School in 1976. Ann Loraine Decker is the winner of a SUSC Business Department Scholarship. She is a junior majoring in business education, a member of Phi Beta Lambda, and a candidate for Student Representative of UBEA. She recently received third place as Ms. Future Business Teacher in State PBL Competition. Decker is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Decker, Cedar City. Robert L. Foisy is the recipient of an Industrial Education Department Scholarship. He is a junior at SUSC majoring in industrial education with a minor in building technology. The scholarship recipient is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen E. Foisy, Cedar City. Foisy has received several other scholarships while attending SUSC. LaVar M. Hadley is the 1977-78 recipient of the Utah International Scholarship. He is majoring in industrial arts education with emphasis em-phasis in electronics and woods. Hadley is a SUSC honor roll student, a member of the Industrial Education Club and recently served on a committee to evaluate the Title III Program on campus. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Hadley, Cedar City. He and his wife C. Ann are the parents of three children. Mark Gordon Slack is the Ella B. Leigh Scholarship recipient for 1977-78. He is currently serving an LDS Mission to Northern England and will return home to resume his studies at SUSC in business administration ad-ministration and music. Slack is the son of Mr. and Mrs. F.
