Show Arden Drops Game To Power for First League Loss TEAM STANDINGS Arden 4 1 .800 Power 3 2 .600 Parks 2 3 .400 Construction 1 4 .200 Monday evening California-Pacific California-Pacific Utilities of the Cedar City Pony League handed Arden Dairy their first loss of the season and moved the Power crew to within one game of the pace setters. Don A. Matheson was on the mound for the game and In addl-, tion to taking the win on the mound belted a homerun to aid in the 6 to 3 win over Arden. Steven Judd was the loser and Neil Roberts homered for Arden his first of the season. Power picked up a second win during the week when they defeated de-feated Utah Construction last Thursday evening 7 to 3. Ronnie Anderson, a newcomer to Pony League this year, was the winning win-ning pitcher. It gave hlme a 1 and 1 record for the season. Marion Mar-ion Robb was the loser and It put his win-loss record at one each. Utah Parks was forced to forfeit for-feit to Arden Friday evening when only seven men showed up for game. However, they bounced back Tuesday evening with a convincing 8 to 2 victory over Utah Construction to take over third place. Bruce Stuckl lead the Parks to victory with a top mound performance plus a home run and two doubles for the evening. Robb of Construction was tagged tag-ged with his second loss of the season and It left the Miners In the cellar spot. They are the de-! fending league champions. This evening, Thursday, Power, nd Parks meet and Friday even-j Ing Arden and Construction will take the field. Monday pits Power j against Construction and Parks and Arden meet Tuesday even-I even-I ing. |
