Show Women Voters League Lay Plans for State Officers' Visit The home of President Lucille Broadbent was the site of the June board meeting of the League of Women Voters of Cedar Ce-dar City on Tuesday afternoon. Dans were made for the workshop work-shop meetings to be held on June 24 and 25, when Mrs. David II. Curtis, Mrs. Beverly T. Mead and Mrs. Paul Porter all of Salt Lake City and members of the state board, will pay a visit to Cedar City to help in training the mem-bers mem-bers of the local board in their various Jobs. The main item of concern will be how to conduct a successful discussion meeting. Mrs. Douglas Lunt, chairman of the committee on the local current agenda item, "A study of the Iron County School System with supKrt of measures to Insure In-sure the development and maintenance main-tenance of adequate school standards stan-dards and equitable distribution of funds." gave a report on the committees outline as they propose pro-pose to proceed with researrh In the collecting of materials for this study. The committee hopes to have this material ready for unit presentation In October. Calendaring of the year's work was completed and Mrs. Dale Milne, membership chairman, explained the plans of her committee com-mittee for their coming membership member-ship drive and the orientation of new members. |
