Show I June Nuptials loin Smith, Maxwell In a wedding ceremony which took place last Friday in the St. George LDS Temple, Max Louis Maxwell of Enoch claimed Miss Omah Lee Smith of Parowan as his bride. President Harold S. Snow officiated! !n the rites in the presence of the Immediate members of the family. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Eldon O. Smith and the late Mr. Smith of this city, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Maxwell, Enoch, are the parents of the bridegroom. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds were honored af a wedding breakfast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Carter. St George, with Mrs. LaVar Fore-master Fore-master as co-hostess. Friday evening !a ih Parowtn Recreation hail the couple was honored at reception. For this event, the bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace' .underscored with satin, floor-length. Her veil of la-appliqued Illusion fell from a rhlnestone crown. The b'ld tl bouquet was of dark red roses. - . Attending" the bride w.re hei i sister, Mrs. Brent Talbot as ma. Itron of honor; Miss Sher.y Dawn' Evans and Miss Bonnie Batt, bridesmaids. Flower girls were Joan Smith, Mitzie Talbot Kar-lene Kar-lene Maxwell and Marlene Maxwell. Max-well. Gary Gibson stood as best man and ushers were Brent Talbot, Arlen Grlmshaw and Keith Anderson. An-derson. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Smith had charge of the gift room. The reception featured a short program, with Max S. Dalley as master of ceremonies, followed by refreshments and dancing. Following a honeymoon In northern nor-thern Utah and Idaho the couple will make a home in Enoch. Mr. Maxwell has been attending College of Southern Utah where he is a member of the Lambda Delta Sigma and Kolob Club. He has fulfilled a mission to the North Central States. The bride has been attending Parowan High School where she was active ac-tive in music and dramatics.' |
