Show SOCIAL SWING The M.B.W. Club was held at Mrs. George M. Hunter's home. A lovely luncheon was served and Mrs. Robert Bauer gave a book review on "Our Miss Rosle" by Jessie Bennett Members and a guest enjoyed the afternoon. The last meeting of the year for the Beta Sigma Fhl sorority was held at the home of Mrs. Gary Jones. A buffet supper with ham and all the trimmings was served and ntw officers for the coming year were Installed as follows: Jerry Bulloch, president; Joan Skinner, vice president; Evelyn Williams, treasurer. Outgoing Out-going officers were Garfae Mld-dleton, Mld-dleton, president; Yvonne Leigh, vice president; Ann Hansen, secretary, sec-retary, and Shirley Haycock, treasurer. They were presented with gifts In appreciation for the fine work they have done. Meetings Meet-ings will resume again In the fall. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Pitt and girls Geraldeen and Kathy, Mr. and Mrs. John Cushing and their daughter Ruth Ann spent a week end in Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Jo ley and children recently moved to Cedar from Provo. He Is employed at North East Furniture and she works at the telephone company. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Ahlstrom former residents of Cedar City, now living in Redondo Beach, Calif, were here over the week end visiting relatives and friends. They enjoyed visiting various scenic attractions in the area. They also attended graduation exercises at BYU in Provo at which their son, Marvell, was' awarded his degree. j Mrs. Hazen Cooley attended a meeting of the alumni of the old Brigham Young College in Lo-an. Lo-an. The school has been closed lnce 1926 but a group of students stu-dents gather there each year to renew old friendships. Mrs. Coo-'v Coo-'v and children. Bonlta and Wayne, also visited In Laketown, Ttah with her mother, Mrs. De-Witt De-Witt Johnson. |
