Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH Mrs. Hilma Lamoreaux Mr .and Mrs. Alma Topham enjoyed a week end trip to Salt Lake City to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Topham, Mrs. Viola Marsigli and their families. The Tophams drove up Friday evening eve-ning and returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cutler and their baby daughter of Cedar City came to town for the week end to help with the Topham business during Alma's absence. Mr. and Mrs. James Taylor enjoyed en-joyed having visitors last week. Mrs. Taylor's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Dunbar were here from Las Vegas Ve-gas Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday friends of the family, Mr. and Mrs. Al Multz of Boze-man, Boze-man, Mont., arrived for an overnight over-night stay with the Taylors. Mr. and Mrs. Multz were enroute to their home after a trip to Los Angeles. Mr. Clark Robb was hospitalized hospital-ized in Cedar City for a couple of days early last week. He was observed and tested for what was at first thought to be acute appendicitis. ap-pendicitis. The attack subsided and he was released to his home. Miss Susan Barton was in the hospital for several days last week. She was extremely ill with measles. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Robinson and sons, Mitchell and Randy were here from Cedar City Sunday Sun-day to visit wit;, Mi. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Dick McBride and their family have moved back to Paragonah after living in Grantsville for a time. Dick's work in that area is finished. Lewis Lamb and his youngsters young-sters were Saturday visitors here from Beaver. They spent some time wltn the James II. Andersons Ander-sons after being in Cedar City to see Mrs. Limb who had surgery last week. Mr. and Mrs. J. Lamarr Smith of Cedar City were Sunday visitors visi-tors at the Wilson Lund home. Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwe.l continues contin-ues to be in poor health and family members are spending time here to visit with her and assist with her care. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Maxwell were here from Toquerville and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Maxwell and family stopped for a time on their way back to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Luella Maxwell of Toquerville spent Tuesday and Wednesday of last week here; Mrs. Vera Gibson of Cedar City was here later in the week and her daughter, Mrs. Maxine Barton Bar-ton came from Milford and Mrs. Olive Maxwell spent Monday at the Lund home. Mrs. Louise Englestead of Pan. guitch visited briefly with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Gwcn Jones on Saturday. She was accompanied accom-panied by a group of girls and they were enroute to St. George. Mrs. Iras Jones and Mrs, Eva Bell had a number of visitors during the past week. On Friday Mr. and Mrs. Bern Miller were here from Panguitch. On Saturday Satur-day Mrs. Bell's sister, Mrs. Ro-wena Ro-wena D. Owens of Panguitch was here with members of her family. Included in the group were Mr. and Mrs. Gren Owens and Mrs. Arthur Partridge of Panguitch and Mrs. Vernon Lemmon of California. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Thur-man Thur-man Higbee of Cedar City visited at the Jones home. Dale Smith of Murray was a Sunday caller at the home of his mother, Mrs. Iras Jones. He was in Beaver to get Jolene and the children following their stay with the Stewart family. Paul Workman and Brad and Lori Kaye Hunt of Stockton were week end visitors here with Mrs. Lasea Hunt and daughter, Mildred. Mil-dred. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith of j Phoenix, Ariz., arrived In town on Monday for a day or two visit with Mrs. Bertha S. Topham. Mr. and Mrs. II. Revere Robinson Robin-son left for Salt Lake City again ! on Tuesday of last week to stand j by while their little granddaugh-I granddaugh-I ter, Barbara Manzione is in the hospital. The child has a growth on her brain. |
