Show Early March Storm Blankets Area Southern Utah was blanketed early this week from a storm that moved into the area slowly Monday afternoon and continued throughout the night and finally broke up Tuesday afternoon. As high as eight inches of snow was recorded in Cedar City and the storm, according to records re-cords at Cedar City Municipal Airport brought with it .31 of an inch of moisture. That is more than the entire percipitation recorded during the month of February. Total for February was .19 of an inch. I T-l 1.. C -..V. r.1 o ! havoc with the roads early 1 Monday night and made driving hazardous early Tuesday. How- ever, roads had cleared and all ' major roads were in good condition condi-tion by Tuesday night. Utah Highway 14 east from Cedar City was closed early Monday afternoon after-noon and was still closed Tuesday Tues-day morning. Temperatures for March were also low as the result re-sult of the storm. Tuesday's high was 27 degrees, that recorded during the afternoon after the storm had broken up. The low for the 24 hour period from 5 p. m. Tuesday was 20 degrees. Temperatures began to climb ' Wednesday under a bright March sun reaching into the 40's. In St. George a light sciff of snow fell Monday night, but disappeared Tuesday with the first rays of the sun.
