Show Cedar Stake Bride And Groom Night Proves Huge Success Cedar Stake Bride and Groom Night, staged at the Third-Fourth Ward chapel Thursday, Feb. 27, was highly successful with a large crowd enjoying a very pleasant evening. A highlight of the annual event was the presentation of a special tribute to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Brown for their outstand- ( ing service to the Church of Jes-1 us Christ of Latter-day Saints. Faith Reeves, who made the presentation, pre-sentation, pointed out that all six children of the Browns had been married in the temple. ! Boyd Beagley, principal of the Cedar City LDS Seminary, gave the keynote address for the occasion. oc-casion. Favors were presented and refreshments re-freshments were served with a beautiful Wedding Cake from Ron and Cris's Bakery featured the centerpiece of the serving table. Mr. and Mrs. Jodie Hoyt, Stake M-Men and Gleaners leaders, vere in charge of the affair. Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt announce that the week of Mar. 15 through. 21 will be Cedar Stake M-Men and Gleaner Wek. Highlights of the week will be a special Fireside Fire-side Sunday evening. March 15, at the Third Ward chapel with Rudger C. Atkin, president of the St. George Temple, or one of his representatives, speaker. A temple tem-ple excursion on Wednesday, March 18, and a banquet on Saturday Sat-urday evening, March 21. |
