Show Pair Tie for High Honors in Bowling Two 203 games were rolled in the women's bowling leagues this past week to tie for top honors. Geniel Twltchell in the Cedar Belles league hit the . J3 mark as did Virginia Randall bowling in the Alley Katts league. Top series of the week was rolled by Lillian Hazel, a fine 533. Individual league highs were as follows: Strikettes League saw LeOnia Miller post the high game of l'J3 but give way to Lorraine Holm for series honors when she hit for a 517. In team events it was Arctic Circle all the way with a 786 high game and a 2137 scries. Cedar Belles had Geniel Twitchcll tieing for high game honors of the week with a 203 and Mrs. Hael rolled her high series of 533 in this league. Jackson Jack-son Cleaners was the top team with a 2374 series and 871 game, j both were high honors. In the Alley Katts league it was Virginia Randall all the way. She posted a 520 series to go with her top game of 203. R. C. Cola likewise was tops in both departments with scores of 613 and 1874 for game and series honors. The Queens Pins league was one of two leagues that saw a .different leader in each depart-, depart-, ment. In individual hi'hs Lynn Murray had series high with a j 469 and the high game was a 193 by Elaine Averett. American Oil posted the top team series with a 1638 and a 581 game by North East was the top team game. In the Thursday Scratch league Effie Marler had the top series with a 498 and Delores Webster had high game honors with her 191. Team three composed of Tillie Biederman, Deloris Webster i and Ruth Gras had the top series I of 1315. A 478 rolled by team six ' was the high game. Team mem-Ibers mem-Ibers were Lillie Hazel, Zola Lis-! Lis-! ter and Mildred Thompson. |
