Show Elmer Lowes Return From Extensive Tour Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lowe returned re-turned to their home In Parowan on Saturday of last week after an extended trip which started when they left here on Tuesday, Feb. 4, and during which they covered more than 5,000 miles, partly on land and partly on sea. Traveling to Salt Lake by bus they boarded a plane for Detroit where they picked up a new automobile au-tomobile and then drove south on a route which took them to Port Everglades, Fla. Here they boarded ship "Queen of Bermuda." Bermu-da." for a cruise of the West Indies. In-dies. The boat stopped at St. Thomas Tho-mas in the Virgin Islands, the Barbados, eastern most Llands of the West Indies group. From there they traveled to Lugareo, Venezuela, where they disembarked disem-barked for a visit inland to Caracas, Car-acas, capital of that South American Am-erican country. On ship, they next visited Kingston, Jamaica, then by-passed Cuba to land at Nassau in the Bahamas, then back to Port Everglades. Ever-glades. After visiting Miami they came west by the southern route. On the way home they visited Pensacola, Fla., Mobile, Ala., Bi-loxl, Bi-loxl, Miss, and New Orleans, and Baton Rouge, La., then through southern Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. They were on board ship for 14 days and reported the weather was very good and that the entire en-tire trip was most enjoyable. |
