Show by Norma Christens With the Thanksgiving holl-day, holl-day, It was the time to go visiting visit-ing your family and friends or having them come and visit you. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Sorenseri and family traveled to Alton, to visit Jean's folks, Mr. and Mrs. C F. Baldwin, and then Journeyed Journey-ed on to Orderville, to eat Thanksgiving dinner with Mont's folks, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Sorensen. Soren-sen. Then Saturday, Mont and Jem and family, journeyed to Las Vegas, Nev. where they will be met by some other family members to enjoy the Nevada dry. Mr. and Mrs. George Beach am and little sons, spent the holiday in Fillmore, with Carma's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Arthella Taylor. They took Mrs. Effle Beacham and Fern on to Tooele, where they spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Doug (Sharon) Seals and family. Gathering at the Alonzo Chris-tensen Chris-tensen home Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Thomas and family from Enterprise, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Chrlstensen and family, fa-mily, and Thomas Forsyth. Thanksgiving and week end visitors at the Boyd Chrlstensen home were Miss Marilyn Deem from Lakewood, Calif., and her fiance, Bob Steele from Rangely, Colo., and a friend, Pete Valora, also of Rangely. All three are students at Brlgham Young University. Uni-versity. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Tullis were happy to have their daughters daugh-ters and their families here for the week end. Here from Logan were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon (Colleen) (Col-leen) Gilbert and tiny son. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine (Cleo) Apple-gate Apple-gate and Infant son, and Blaine's mother. Mrs. Bart Applegate, all of Cedar City, were also visitors. Scott Tullis also enjoyed dinner with the family. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Reber of Mesquite, Nev., were Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing visitors at the home of their daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hulet Mrs. Roberta Clark and daughter, daugh-ter, Bonnie of Cedar City, were visitors this week at the home of their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ro-bert Piatt and also at the Warren War-ren Piatt home. Also visiting at the Warren Piatt home was Bea's father, Low Prince of New Harmony. Har-mony. Mrs. Iva Harrison visited for a few days in New Harmony last week with her father. Ashby Pace. Mr. Pace and Iva's sister, Mrs. Camilla Prince brought her home and visited for a while at the Harrison home. Visitors at the Darwin Hulet home this week were Mrs. Albert Lang and Mrs. Edna Bundy and three boys from St. George, and also Bertrand Dalley and son, Allen of Summit Mr. and Mrs. Herman McCarty, former residents of New Castle, now living in Lodl, Calif., were visitors this week in town where they had business to attend to in regards to their home. While here, the ward had a gettogeth-' gettogeth-' er party i nthe ward hall, where the McCarty's were able to visit with many of their old friends. James Tullis and Bob Knell were members of the Cedar City High Shcool football team that Journedey to Salt Lake City to participate in the State Class B finals. Also on the team from Escnlante Valley that went to Sa t Lake was John Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Robinson Robin-son of Beryl. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart and family visited Friday and Saturday Satur-day in Orderville at the home of Shirley's folks, Mr .and Mrs. Edward Crofts. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prisbey of New Harmony were visitors at the home of their daughter nr. a her family, Mr. and Ms. Clifton Hulet. They also v'.alted at the Melvin Hulet heme. |
