Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mrs. Ruth C Stevens, mother of Mrs. Laurence Cooper, arrived Wednesday to share in the enjoyment en-joyment of a long week end and Thanksgiving activities at the Cooper home. After having spent three relaxing days with the Cooper family, she returned to her residence in Salt Lake City. Pinochle club was recently held at the home of Itha Robinson Robin-son as the ladies met to spend a few hours doing little but playing. The high score winners win-ners for the night were Itha Lindsey and Marcille Topham, who received clever prizes for their talented efforts. All eight members of the Tuesday Tues-day night pinochle club were on rand last week for an evening of card playing at the home of Mrs. Jerry Graff. The ladies' efficacy ef-ficacy of luck and skill brought about three outstanding game scores and the awarding of three clever prizes piesented by the hostess. Prior to the Tuesday club evtit Mr. and Mrs. Graff enteiU'iitrd guests from Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Carrigan who spent several day visiting in this area. Mrs. Carrigan (Janet) is a sister of Mrs. Graff'. In keeping with the purpose of last week's celebration, Dr. L. V. Broadbent and son, Michael, traveled via airline to Salt Lake City where they enjoyed the cop-, ious holiday dinner with other I members of the Sylvester Broad -bent families. Having spent Thursday visiting and relaxing with preferential company, the two Broadbents made a nocturnal noctur-nal voyage home. Holden, Utah was the location for a Turkey dinner enjoyed last week by members of the Glade Stephenson family. The couple and their children spent Thanksgiving Thanks-giving day with Mr. and Mrs. Byron Stephenson. Later In the week, the Stephensons were pleased to have as guests at their home in Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hansen and their three children Jill, Jane and Rocky. The Hansens Journeyed Jour-neyed to Utah from their resident resi-dent in Pasadena, Calif. |
