Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING In accordance with the holiday season and family get-togethers, the Lloyd Grames family motored mo-tored from their northern Utah home to spend Thanksgiving in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Grames and their children were guests of Mrs. Grames parents, the Austin Heywoods. They also enjoyed en-joyed visiting with the Thornton Joneses during the duration of the four day vacation. Taking in the usual verve of the Louis Webster home were Lou's sister, lone and her husband, hus-band, J. D. and son, Collin Mc-Murphy Mc-Murphy of Salt Lake City. The McMurphy's enjoyed Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing with the Websters and Jack Pace family during their stay here. Also on hand to enjoy the company of the McMurphy's was the Nelson Webster family and Ione's sister, Zella. The dramatic cozy atmosphere of the mountain cabin of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Adams was the site for the delicious Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing dinner served to relatives who joined together In celebration celebra-tion of the November occasion. Guests from Ogden, who enjoyed the affair were Dr. and Mrs. L. Garr Merril and their children, Kathy, Susan and Brent. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hunter and children, child-ren, former Cedar City residents now living In Orem, also joined the group-members of the George Hunter family. Arriving Wednesday to spend several pleasant days with their daughter and son-in-law were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth H. Hoi-llngshead Hoi-llngshead from Salt Lake City, accompanied by two children, Roger and Linda. The Salt Lake visitors enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the Steven Moss home where they were guests until their departure later in the week. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Heyborne and family along with Chad Heaton, who is currently making his home with the Heybornes, traveled to Orderville where they spent several pleasant days at the Heaton home enjoying activities ac-tivities centered around Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holiday festivities. On hand to take part in the n n n rfUWWWVWWWWW activities on the agenda at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Benson was their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Beal from Las Vegas. The Beat's new baby boy, James Austin, made the trip with his parents to spend his first Thanksgiving with grandpa and grandma Benson. Ben-son. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Nelson this past week were Rex and Beulah and their three children who made the trip south from their establishment esta-blishment in Lander, Wyo. to be present for Thursday celebration of importance. The Rex Nelsons enjoyed visiting with other family fami-ly members and friends in the locality before returning home Sunday. Welcomed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Barrick last week was Mrs. Barrick's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard DeRose and their children child-ren from Salt Lake City. While in Cedar City, the DeRose family visited with the Rulan Wood-burys, Wood-burys, Mrs. D. Claude Urle and other family members as they participated in the enjoyment of Thanksgiving dinner. The Cazania Club Ladies met for another evening of fun as they enjoyed the company of one another and exchanged ideas on the latest sewing tips. The ladies, la-dies, busy with their handywork, met at the home of Kathrine Overson, hostess for the event. Mrs. Overson Invited as special guest, Ida Halterman. Returning late Sunday from a ten day vacation were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Peck and children. The Peck family spent several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John VValkenhorst in Mt. Home, Ida., then traveled to the Salt Lake City area where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wright for the remainder of their trip. A delightful occasion was en-Joyed en-Joyed by members of the Leo Sutherland family In Salt Lake City last week as the traditional dinner was on the menu for one and all. Making the trip from Cedar City to join with Mrs. Clove's parents and four of her brothers and sisters and their families were the V. J. Cloves. Traveling from Kanab to Cedar City last week end were Gail and Bonnie Miles and their two children. The family enjoyed a short visit with Gail's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Miles, before be-fore returning home Sunday evening. Miss Connie Corry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Corry, made a quick trip home to be with her parents for the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holidays. Miss Corry, currently cur-rently employed in Salt Lake City, returned Sunday to her work-day world and duties at the Telephone Company there. |
