Show Cedar High Redmen JLrrange Pre-League Practice TVtce-a-day practice sessions for Cedar High School hoopsters began Monday at 6 a. m. as Coach Bruce Decker began preparations prep-arations for the opening of the 1961-62 basketball season. The Redmen hit the hardwoods early with a practice game In store Friday evening, Dec. 1 with Richfield at Richfield. Sessions are being conducted at 6 a. m. and then in the evening eve-ning at the CSU fieldhouse. Coach Decker has one advant-, advant-, age as seven of the 13 men now participating were with the squad during the previous season and In addition two of the men saw some action with the squad last year. Local fans, unless they have a yen for travel, will wait for quite awhile to see the Redmen In action, ac-tion, however, as they first five games on the pre-league schedule sched-ule take the squad away from home. Following the opener against Rlchield Dec. 1, the Redmen will return to Parowan Saturday evening eve-ning for a game against Coach John Wood's Rams. On Dec. 6 they travel to Pangultch and on the week end move to Las Vegas for a game against Western High School on (he 8th and against Basic at Henderson on the 9th. The first home appearance will be in the Iron County Invitation-tl Invitation-tl Tourney Dec. 15 and 16, in Cedar Ce-dar and Parowan, respectively. Visiting teams for this annual event will be Gunnison High and South Sevier of Monroe. Heading the list of returning jettermen will be Junior center Neil Roberts. He will be ably assisted as-sisted by two fine backcourt men, Kent Farnsworth and Donnle Roberts Ro-berts and returning on the front line will be the likes of Paul Stokes and Kent Smith.
