Valley Lions Club Announces , Deer Contest Winners ESCALANTE VALLEY The Escalante Valley Lions Club, , sponsors of an annual "widespread" "wide-spread" contest held during the general deer hunting season, announced an-nounced the winners of the current cur-rent contest which ended Oct 31. First place winner was Cluff Jolley, operator of Milt's Circus Lounge in Cedar City, registering register-ing a deer with an antler spread of 36 inches and winning a deer rifle. Second prize, a pair of field glasses, was awarded to Mike Flinspach of the Flinspach Ranch at Modena, who registered an antler spread of 32 H inches. Roger Bird of Enterprise won third place with a deer with an antler spread of 30'i inches and received a hunting knife and a box of shells. Proceeds from this contest will be used by the Lions Club in various community projects. Including In-cluding the community Christmas Christ-mas decoration program.
