Show Baseball Season Ends with Joint League Party The baseball season in Cedar City will come to an official end Monday night when all participants partici-pants in the summer program Join together for a big 'celebration. 'celebra-tion. All boys who have participated In the program this summer, including in-cluding members of the Minor League, Little League, Pony League and the American Legion Junior baseballers have been Invited In-vited to gather at the ball park at 6:30 p. m. Monday, August 27, for a feed and "farewell" party. They will be Joined by all adults who have assisted in the program, pro-gram, including league officials, team managers, umpires, scorers, and all others. In aditlon to the picnic the affair af-fair will feature the presentation ! of awards to winning teams, and certificates to boys who "graduate" "grad-uate" and because of age leave one league to advance to the next phase of pirtieipation. The affair' will be directed by Dr. J. S. Prestwlch.- president of the Pony League; Lester Hey-1 borne, President of the Little i League, and Cleo Petty, city recreation re-creation supervisor, who ha? conducted the Minor League pro. j eram and worked closely wi'.h the other SrouP prog-ams. j All boys who have participated are urged to be present for the gala occasion, the last big event of the summer recreation pro-1 gram. |
